Brewster
Beautiful winding Route 6A runs through the heart of Brewster, and has been its central lifeline since the days of the sea captains. In the spring, the roadside is dotted with thousands of cheerful lemon-colored daffodils, and the town celebrates with its annual 'Brewster in Bloom' Festival. In summer, the magnificent trees shade the summer visitors, and in the fall, the whole route becomes an artist's palette of blazing autumn color. Brewster's ties to the sea are still evident in the captains' homes, many now B&Bs or exclusive restaurants. Stop by the Historical Society Museum for some old-fashioned lore.
Brewster is home to eight Bay beaches, antique shops, fine restaurants, a classic general store, and Nickerson State Park - perfect for camping, biking, picnics by the pond or just soaking up the beautiful scent of the pines.
